Free agent WR Braylon Edwards will not serve any jail time for violating his probation. Edwards could have been sentenced to up to six month in jail, but instead he will serve 100 hours of community service and receive one year of active probation. Braylon has to report once a month, on the phone or in person and talk to a probation officer.
Meanwhile, it now appears that re-signing Edwards might be a bit too expensive for the Gang Green, who just agreed on a 5-year $50M contract with WR Santonio Holmes. So, it looks like the Jets are looking into the possibility of signing WR Randy Moss instead.
Moss, 34, is coming off the worst season of his career but many believe that he still has plenty left in the tank. By bringing in Edwards and Holmes Rex Ryan has shown that he is more than willing to take on troublemakers with a lot of talent. Is Moss next?
