According to various sources, LB Jason Taylor's agent, Gary Wichard, has stated that his client won't make a decision about whether or not to join the New York Jets until mid-week at the earliest. Wichard said that "it's not even about a contract. It's about Jason making the decision with his wife to move up to New York and play. When that's decided he'll have an opportunity to move forward in one direction or another."
The Gang Green have reportedly offered Taylor a 2-year contract worth $3.5M. Pro Football Talk believes that if Taylor does decide to join the Jets, he will sign a postdated contract that gets filed with the league office and announced at some point between the conclusion of OTAs and the launch of training camp. This way he won't have to particicape in any voluntary offseason workouts.
