The New York Jets have reached an agreement with S Brodney Pool, a 6-year veteran who spent his entire career with the Cleveland Browns. According to ESPN, it's a 1-year deal worth $1.3M.
Pool has an extensive injury history, including multiple concussions. A former 2nd round pick, he was a non-tendered restricted free agent, meaning the Jets could sign him without giving up any compensation.
Last season Pool started in 10 games for the Browns, recording 50 tackles (39 solo), 1 sack and 4 interceptions.
Meanwhile RB LaDainian Tomlinson is on his way to visit the Jets, who are prepared to put on a full-court press for the future Hall of Famer, according to multiple league sources.
