LB Keith Bulluck of the Tennessee Titans apparently took some lessons on trash talking from Jets players and guaranteed a victory against the Jets on Sunday. "We're definitely getting back after it," Bulluck told reporters. "We’re going against a rookie quarterback. We plan on showing him a bunch of different looks and to take what Kerry Rhodes said last week, we want to knock their quarterback around. We're not a team that’s desperate. We’re a team that knows how to win. And we’re a team that plans on going to New York this week and getting a win, our first win."
The Titans will be facing a greatly depleted Jets' secondary, as both CB Lito Sheppard and CB Donald Strickland have not practiced this week. Strickland suffered a right ankle injury against the Patriots and has been all but ruled out for Sunday's game. Sheppard, who has a right quadriceps injury, has a chance to play.
Strickland would be replaced in the lineup by CB Dwight Lowery who started 10 games last season. However, if both Strickland and Sheppard are out, Lowery then would start in place of Sheppard and fourth-year pro CB Drew Coleman would play the nickel.
Meanwhile, ESPN "experts", incuding former Jets head coach Herman Edwards, picked the Titans to beat the Jets:
Bookmakers have the Jets as 2.5 to 3.0 point favorites.
