This was truly a game of two totally different halves, as the New York Jets' offense came out with a vengeance in the second half and scored 13 unanswered points. The Gang Green beat their archrival, 16-9, and moved into sole possession of the AFC East. They also finally snapped the 8-game losing streak to the Patriots in home games, which dated back to 2001.
Having struggled for most of the first half, QB Mark Sanchez looked like a totally different player after halftime. Just like in the game against the Texans, the Jets' rookie showed poise and good decision making, leading the Gang Green to their second win of the season.
The Jets' defense was the only thing that remained consistent in this game. They were on top of their game for all 60 minutes, constantly putting pressure on Tom Brady. Although the Jets did not register a single sack, their ability to disrupt Brady's game was the key to success in this contest.
We'll have our in-depth game review later today, but for now... J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! 1st place!!!!
