The owners and the player's union have finally agreed on a 6-year CBA extension that is expected to add $10M to the 2006 salary cap, pushing it over $104M.
If the agreement wasn't reached, the 2006 salary cap would have been $94.5M.
Free agency, put off twice by the protracted negotiations between the owners and players, now will start at 12:01 a.m. Friday.
