According to the NFL Network QB Chad Pennington has torn his rotator cuff and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. This also means that his career is most likely over, as no player at his position has ever come back to play after two rotator cuff injuries in a row.
We, as Jets fans, can only wish Chad luck in his future endeavors and thank him for the good season he had in 2002. It's time for the Jets organization to move on and either trade for or draft a young QB who is tough enough to play in this league and has an arm to throw the deep ball.
Additionally, according to various sources, QB Jay Fielder is going to miss the entire season as well, which means that third stringer QB Brooks Bollinger will most likely start on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
According to ESPN, the Jets are bringing in three quarterbacks - Doug Johnson, Jesse Palmer and Jonathan Quinn - for a tryout.
