The New York Jets have filled one of the two remaining spots on their roster by acquiring OL Steve Morley via a trade from the Green Bay Packers. The Jets have given up a future undisclosed draft choice.
Morley, 6'7", 330 lbs, has played in CFL and NFL Europe. He was selected #1 overall by the CFL's Calgary Stampeders in the 2003 Canadian College Draft. Morley has never played in an NFL game.
The other remaining roster spot will most likely be filled by a wide receiver.
Also, according to the New York Daily News, OT Marko Cavka (arm) underwent surgery on Friday, to insert a metal plate in his fractured left forearm. His injury wasn't a fractured wrist, as first reported by the team. He will miss 8-10 weeks.
