The New York Jets signed TE Mikhael Ricks who had been with the Chargers, Chiefs and Lions. Ricks, 29, is a 7-year veteran who's played in 82 NFL games (43 starts), caught 155 passes for 1,939 yards and 8 TDs. Last season Ricks started in 6 games for the Detroit Lions, caught 37 passes for a total of 434 yards and 2 TDs.
The team also released rookie TE Michael Carter.
