Jets Release Mo Lewis

The New York Jets released LB Mo Lewis, SS Sam Garnes and FS Tyrone Carter. These players were due to make a total of nearly $3M next season.

Mo Lewis, one of the best linebackers in Jets' history, wore green and white for 13 seasons. He played in 200 games, recorded 1,149 tackles (856 solo), 52.5 sacks, 14 interceptions, forced 26 fumbles, and scored 4 touchdowns.

SS Sam Garnes joined the Jets 2 years ago, played in 32 games and intercepted 4 passes.

FS Tyrone Carter played in 16 games and recorded 2 interceptions.

The Jets also signed RB Kenton Keith from the CFL.
