HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Jets cornerback Ray Mickens is questionable for this weekend's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a sore neck.
Mickens was injured late in the fourth quarter against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday after putting a hard hit on Jerry Rice . He went to a hospital for X-rays and a CAT scan, which determined a neck sprain/strain. Mickens caught a later flight home and returned to the team Monday.
Mickens already was playing in place of regular starter Donnie Abraham, out since September with a broken right shoulder. Abraham will not play against the Colts.
Coach Herman Edwards said Monday he did not know who would fill in for Mickens, but journeyman Ray Green and Jamie Henderson are possibilities. He also said the team planned to work out players.
"Every week it's somebody else," Edwards said.
Safety Jon McGraw (shoulder) and defensive end John Abraham (groin) also will not play. Receiver Wayne Chrebet (head) is out for now, but Edwards said his status could change this week.
Linebackers Mo Lewis (groin) and Victor Hobson (back) are probable. CBS Sportsline
