The New York Jets announced the signing of OT Brent Smith, 6'5", 305 lbs, 6 seasons in the league. Smith spent his entire career with the Miami Dolphins (37 games and 13 starts). However, he hasn't played a game in 2 years.
The Gang Green also waived QB Todd Husak, LB Lyle Weaver, CB DeMario Suggs, and OG Faaessea Mailo. Husak became expandable with the arrival of QB Brooks Bollinger whom the Jets drafted in the 6th round.
