Earlier today free agent DE Steve White agreed to a contract with the New York Jets. It's a 4-year deal worth $7.25M. It includes a $1.3M signing bonus and base salaries of $1M (2002), $1.25M (2003), $1.7M (2004), and $2M (2005). $250,000 of the 2003 base salary is guaranteed.
The Jets are also interested in DT Josh Evans, CB Brian Kelly, and CB Aaron Beasley.
