Jets S Jamal Adams has been named to the First All Pro team, the first All Pro selection of his three year NFL career. Adams, who was selected to his second Pro Bowl in December, was named to Second All Pro team last year. This season he led the team with 6.5 sacks (team record for a defensive back) and fell just 1.5 sacks short of the NFL record. He ended up receiving the most votes at the safety position on the AP All Pro team.
Adams also led the team with 61 solo tackles and tied for the first place with LB Jordan Jenkins with 13 quarterback hits apiece. He was also voted Curtis Martin Team MVP for the second consecutive year.
The Jets are going to face a rather difficult decision in the offseason. They would want to keep Adams but he will demand a very large contract, while the team has plenty of holes that they need to plug in.
